These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Rondo Wright ("we," "us," the "Developer") governing your use of the Cementing Engineer mobile application and related services (the "App"). By downloading, signing in to, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

Cementing Engineer is a field calculator for oilfield cementing operations. It estimates volumes, pressures, pump schedules, and related figures, and lets you save job designs to a Tally Book that syncs to your account.

2. Accounts

An account, created through Apple or Google sign-in, is required. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

3. Subscriptions and billing

The App is offered on a subscription basis following a free trial. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase.
Purchases are processed and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. We never receive your payment details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Except where required by law or the applicable store's policies, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google.

4. Ownership and intellectual property

The App — including its source code, software, calculations and engineering logic, schematics, user interface, design, layout, text, graphics, the "Cementing Engineer" name, logo, and all related intellectual property — is owned by the Developer and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

5. Limited license

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your own internal and professional use, and only while your subscription is active and you comply with these Terms.

6. Restrictions — protecting the App

You may not, and may not permit or enable anyone else to:

copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the App or any part of it;
modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative or competing works based on the App, its calculations, its outputs, its design, or its underlying logic;
reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, formulas, or structure of the App, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
clone, imitate, or reproduce the App's look and feel, branding, screens, or workflow to build or market a similar or competing product or service;
scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data, content, or calculation results from the App, including by automated means;
remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice;
use the "Cementing Engineer" name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission; or
use the App in any way that infringes our intellectual property or violates any law.

These restrictions survive termination of your account or subscription. We reserve all rights and remedies, including injunctive relief, against unauthorized copying or misuse.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the job data you enter and save. You grant us only the limited rights needed to store and sync it to your account so the App can function. We do not sell or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Engineering disclaimer

Cementing Engineer is a calculation aid that produces field estimates only. Results — including volumes, pressures, thickening times, and pump schedules — are not a substitute for professional engineering judgment, site-specific verification, or regulatory compliance. You are solely responsible for verifying all figures and meeting all safety and regulatory requirements before pumping or acting on any output. The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from operational decisions, well outcomes, downtime, or reliance on the App's outputs. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and cancel your subscription at any time. Sections 4, 6, 8, and 9 survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Developer is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts located there.
